FIRST YOU FALL

When his friend Allen Harrington's death is ruled a suicide, boy-next-door-cute Kevin Connor - a hustler by trade, sleuth by default - sets out to prove a case of murder. It doesn't help that the victim's grown children, who disapproved of their father's homosexuality, are only concerned about their inheritance. But they're not Kevin's only problem.

Also on the scene are his high-strung mother, who, despite the lack of  anything even resembling an invitation, has moved in with him, and Tony Rinaldi, the ex-lover who broke his heart back in high school, now reappearing years later as the lead investigator in Allen's death.
